Hello! I’m glad you stopped by. I hope you enjoy making the recipes I have posted. Some, I created myself and some, I found on other websites. If I found the recipe from another site, I’ve noted where it’s from and provided a link to the original source.
The recipes on this website are all gluten-free, sugar-free and dairy-free. They are also vegan. They are not nut-free or soy-free. Now, when I say sugar-free I mean no maple syrup, agave nectar, coconut nectar, or any of that stuff. A low sugar diet helped heal me, and that is what you will find here. I use Lakanto (available on Amazon), liquid Stevia, and Vegetable Glycerine to add sweetness. Your taste buds will not notice the difference. Daily delicious treats are a must in my life.
When I changed my diet, I found it challenging to find recipes that fit my new requirements: vegan + gluten-free + sugar-free. Okay – ones that fit my requirements and that actually tasted good. Food must be tasty. Sounds obvious, but I’ve tried a lot of eewie stuff out there. These recipes have all been tried and served to multiple tasters, including my adorable but picky children. They all passed the “friends and family taste test”.

My body was just was not the same after I had children. I know, a familiar phrase. However, I came down with an autoimmune disease (Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis) after my first child was born. After my second child was born, I suffered from relentless sinus infections. I did not want to endure surgery, so I aggressively researched diets, and doctors, that would help me get well.
At the advise of my new holistic doctor, I cut out gluten, dairy, and sugar from my diet. I began to feel better. I also lost weight, effortlessly. I don’t always stick to this diet – yes, I indulge in ice cream every once and a while (and other things). However, I never feel “right” after such indulgences. I try to stick to this diet 90% (okay, maybe it’s more like 80%) of the time. So far, it’s working.
Everything on this site is gluten-free, sugar-free and animal-free. When I say sugar-free – I mean no maple syrup and no agave nectar. Why animal-free? Well, I love animals and it is an indisputable fact that plant based diets prevent heart disease and cancer. I think the animals and the planet benefit as well. So, why not vegan?
I’m a mom, and that means I don’t have all day to cook. You don’t need to be a gourmet chef to make these recipes. Enjoy and be well.
